The Dark Lord’s Underworld Masquerade

An invitation
to the underworld.

The 2023 celebration began with a summons: The Dark Lord’s Underworld Masquerade. Skull-and-bone architecture, a gothic window, and red and violet light brought that world into the room.

This collection follows the transformation from construction and projection tests to the pre-party walkthrough, capturing the details before guests arrived.

01 · Behind the scenes

Building another world.

Skulls, crossed bones, and layers of texture formed the entrance. Projection tests, a gothic frame, and tattered drapery brought the window to life.

02 · The invitation

A summons,
sealed in red.

Ornate skeleton illustrations and aged parchment tones set the mood. A dark envelope, closed with a red spiderweb wax seal, completed the invitation.

03 · The finished room

Then the lights
changed everything.

Red and violet light connected the skull-covered entrance, the glowing window, and the table. Ghostly projections moved across the curtains, adding another layer to the room.
