Follow the riddleA new tradition began
Valley of the Kings brought Egyptian wall projections, a shrouded tomb, and mummies to the 2025 Halloween party in Quincy. Golden imagery glowed inside while webs and colored light covered the house outside.
This was also the beginning of the annual interactive riddle. A message on the bathroom mirror led to a scroll in the tomb, then to a scarab beetle—and a finale of lighting, lasers, fog, and special effects.
The invitation · 2025
Gold ornament, a winged scarab, and a summons to uncover secrets. The invitation introduced the world waiting inside.
The first interactive riddle
2025 was the first year guests could solve a riddle woven into the party. Each discovery led to the next, until a final action set off the celebration’s effects.
The first clue
It began in the bathroom: a riddle written in “blood” across the mirror. The message pointed guests toward the tomb.
Inside the tomb
Picking up the scroll triggered green light and a projected head on the wall. Opening it revealed a second riddle to solve.
The answer
The scroll’s riddle led to the scarab beetle outside the pharaoh’s tomb. Turning the beetle upside down was the winning move.
The riddle is won
The upside-down scarab triggered the finale: lighting, lasers, fog, and special effects responding to the winner’s discovery.
